Cutting Portions of Media Files

Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete and Crop are the easiest operations that can be carried out with Video Edit Magic.

To cut portions of a video, simply bring up the selection sliders, select the range that you wish to delete by dragging the selection sliders and select "Delete" from the Edit menu. You may also use the Delete key.

To bring up the selection sliders (red colored sliders), you may use the F5 key or select "Selection Sliders" from the View menu.

After the selection sliders are visible drag them from their handles to reposition them.

If you require a reverse effect (keeping the selection and deleting the rest) then you may Crop the timeline.

You may also bring up the selection slider, select the range that you wish to save and then select "Make Movie" from the File menu. Video Edit Magic will save only the selected range from the timeline.

You can also selectively apply your editing operations on the timeline by using the lock and link options besides every track on the timeline.
